Josie Ryan holds a Masters degree in Early Vocal Music and Historical Performance Practice from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Previously an ensemble singer with European groups including The Tallis Scholars, Ton Koopman’s Amsterdam Baroque Choir and Phillippe Herreweghe’s Collegium Vocale Gent, Josie is now a frequent soloist with Australian ensembles as well as being the soprano of Josie and the Emeralds. She toured throughout NSW in chamber concerts with the Australian Brandenburg Ensemble and featured with them in Rembrandt Live, a theatre piece directed by John Bell, at the Art Gallery of NSW. Josie has also appeared with the Song Company and collaborated with Genevieve Lacey. As a conductor, she has wide experience with church, community and school choirs.
Stacey Xiaoyu Yang is a doctoral candidate (majoring in organ performance and literature) in the studio of Professor David Higgs at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY. Stacey received a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Sydney. She taught piano at MLC School Burwood for 8 years and worked as a chapel organist at SCEGGS Darlinghurst for 4 years. She holds a MMus and LTCL in organ performance, a LMusA in piano performance and has performed extensively both in Australia and overseas including the Sydney Opera House, St James', King St, Christ Church St Laurence, Our Lady's Basilica at Tongeren in Belgium, Marktkirche, Wiesbaden in Germany, Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Cathedrals in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Antwerp, and Madrid.
