Australian Catholic University offers tons of opportunities to help you identify your passion and gifts, grow in your faith, and be of valuable service to your local campus.
Frontier, part of ACU Campus Ministry, is a different kind of volunteer program. You will gain experience, new skills and valuable insights, and your faith and career will be propelled in a direction which allows you to influence your generation.
Through real opportunities for leadership and heaps of incentives, you’re invited to give of yourself generously in a blend of hands-on projects which qualify you for ACU’s Leading with Impact program.
Frontier operates in calendar years with different intake times depending on the three levels.
Frontier Bronze is the initial level of Frontier, allowing you to learn more about who we are and what we do in Campus Ministry. First year students are invited to join during the first few weeks of Semester 1. You will begin to develop your strengths and learn how you can serve your campus community.
Want to extend yourself and really test your ability to lead? You don't have to have completed Frontier Bronze, but preference will be given to students who have. Frontier Silver draws students together as a team, entrusting you to prepare and promote our events and programs and be agents of change in our uni community. You can be course-matched with a mentor and you will be supported one-to-one by your Campus Pastoral Associate.
Frontier Gold is by invitation only for students who have completed Frontier Silver and are seeking more opportunities to lead in ministry. You’ll get to exercise oversight and real responsibility for Campus Ministry initiatives. You work closely with the Campus Pastoral Associate to manage Frontier volunteers.
